Safe and Sick-Free Family With Clean Carpets

Keeping your carpets clean is more than purely for aesthetic reasons.  It is true that regular carpet cleaning can prolong the life and retain the beauty of carpets; however, there is a more important reason to make sure that your carpets are cleaned regularly.  And that is the health of your family.

Carpets act as air filters trapping particles circulating in the air, thus, improving indoor air quality.  But carpets are also veritable traps for germs and allergens such as pet dander, dust mites, and molds.  When these inhabit dirty carpets, children playing on dirty carpets could become ill and suffer from allergies, asthma, and fungal infections.  Carpets saturated in trapped particles also release these contaminants back into the air greatly affecting the quality of indoor air.

To avoid the spread of diseases, it is imperative that you vacuum carpets in high traffic areas everyday and those in low traffic ones at least once a week.   Use a vacuum with a HEPA (high efficiency particulate air) filter to prevent recirculation of contaminates.  Every few months, call in professionals like Green Choice Carpet Cleaning to give your carpets thorough cleaning. Green Choice uses bio-degradable, non-toxic, organic cleansers that make sure that your carpets are thoroughly cleaned and safe enough for the little kids to play on.

Do make sure that all carpets in the house are cleaned regularly so as not to endanger your family’s health.  Regular cleaning not only ensures that your family is safe from illnesses it also compels you to check the condition of your carpets to prevent accidents that may be caused by frayed or old slippery carpets.
