Keep on Learning

When was the last time you learned something new? You’ve pretty much learned everything you need to know in college and in graduate school so there’s really nothing else to learn.

Well, you couldn’t be more wrong! Even if you had the intelligence quotient of Einstein, there’s still a skill or a sport you could learn. Learning something new, even a simple thing such as doing a magic trick or knitting a sweater, can improve your disposition, your health, and your mental ability. A new skill can boost self-esteem and make you more confident.

However busy you are with your career, allot some time for a new hobby.

Take dance classes santa monica is famous for. Sign up for art classes. Join a church choir. Enrol in a baking or cooking class. Hire a music teacher and learn to play a music instrument. Heck, learn a form of martial arts like taekwondo or aikido. Really, you are never too old to learn anything new.

Worried that a new hobby would rob your family of time with you? Take them with you and learn together as a family.

It doesn’t matter how simple your new skill is. Just keep on learning.
